Back From Hunting Camp At The Head Of Slate Run
This is my Uncle Don who never understands the words give up.He is 72 years old and still beating the bush.
A beautiful picture of a waterfall on a brooke leading into the Francis Branch of Slate Run.
The sunrise on a crisp morning in the mountains, doesn't get much better.
Heading through the mountain laurel in a snowstorm hoping to kick up a deer.
Hunting is over till next year, hope you enjoy the pictures, its time to get back to fishing and tying.

Fished Wild Trout Stream On Sunday
I hit one of my favorite streams on Sunday and learned a valuable lesson do not use Dohiku hooks I lost at least three nice brown trout. It may have been user error.I have been told about thes hooks before.I still had a great day anyway always good to be on the stream. Catching does count though.I also learned when your gonna nymph bring the right rod. I forgot my streamflex and used my 9 5 wt instead.Dry dropper was the best bet. I was lucky enough to run across some pheasent feathers laying in the field. They will get put to good use at the vise. Im heading North this coming week to try and bag a deer I would rather be fishing but its a long running tradition at the cabin. I will find myself looking for wild brookies in the small streams while walking up the hollows.
